Redmi Note 12 Series Launched In India: All You Need To Know

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 12 series in India after several teasers. Both the Redmi Note 12 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro models were introduced in China in December 2022.

Note 12 Pro+: Features and Details

There are three color variants of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, including Iceberg Blue, Arctic White, and Obsidian Black. A 6.67-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Widevine L1 are included.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has a 4,980mAh battery with 120W fast charging (a first for a Redmi phone) and can be fully charged in about 19 minutes.

As for the camera, there’s a 200MP main camera with a custom HPX sensor and OIS support, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and 16MP front camera. There is also support for film watermarks, 4K videos, and Vlog mode.

MIUI 13 runs on Android 12 and comes with a 3000mm2 Vapor Chamber cooling system, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP53 rating, an X-Axis vibration motor, and an IR blaster.

Note 12 Pro: Features and Details

As with the Note 12 Pro+ model, the Redmi Note 12 Pro comes with a 6.6 7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, Widevine L1, and Dolby Vision. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, 13GB of RAM (with virtual RAM), and 256GB of storage.

There is a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There is a 16MP selfie camera. The phone offers Director modes, Portrait mode, Tilt-shift, and more camera functions.

It features a 5,000mAh battery, an X-axis vibration motor, MIUI 13 based on Android 12, an IR Blaster, an IP53 rating, a 12-layer graphene sheet cooling system, a fingerprint sensor on the side, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Three colors are available for the phone: Stardust Purple, Glacier Blue, and Onyx Black.

Note 12 5G: Features and Details

It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 mobile platform, just like the iQOO Z6 Lite. It gets up to 6GB of RAM (5GB virtual RAM as well) and 128GB of storage. The Redmi Note 12 5G comes with Jio’s True 5G and Airtel 5G Plus.

This phone has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and supports 1200 nits of peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and Blue Light protection.

There is a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, as well as a 13MP selfie camera. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Besides its IP53 rating, the Redmi Note 12 5G features a 3.5mm audio jack, an IR blaster, and a fingerprint scanner on the side.
