Smartphone maker Xiaomi will not make Android pie updates available to some of its handsets. It includes Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi S2 Smartphone. Let us know that Redmi S2 is known as Redmi Y2 in the global market. This information is given in Xiaomi’s official forum. Here the MIUI team of the company has updated the rollout timeline of Android 9 pie, according to which Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi S2 will not be given Android Pie.
The plan to not update the company’s Smartphone’s is only for China. Whether or not they will get Android 9 Pie updates in the Indian market, its information has not been given at the moment, but its probability is low. If talking about the launch of Smartphone’s, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A were introduced in June 2018. At the same time, the Redmi Y2 was launched in May 2018. In such a case, these phones have been around for almost a year now, so it is surprising that they do not get the update of Android pies. According to the earlier news, these three Smartphone’s were asked to get Android 9 pie beta updates in the third quarter of 2019.
