A year ago, Xiaomi released the Civi 2 (Xiaomi 13 Lite), which began the trend of Android getting Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro. The rumor is that Xiaomi could soon release the Xiaomi 13 Lite, the first Android phone with Dynamic Island globally. Here’s what you can expect.
The Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to be released soon.
It has been revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Lite Smartphone is all set to launch soon, as a recent unboxing video has been posted (courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore). There is a huge camera bump at the back of the phone and Dynamic Island, which Apple introduced recently.
According to Ambhore’s tweet, this is indeed the rebranded Civi 2. The box contains a cover, a USB-C charging cable, manuals, and a 67W charger.
Almost all of the information shared in the tweet matches the spec sheet of the Civi 2. Among the features of the Xiaomi 13 Lite are dual selfie shooters with 32MP rated resolution. They are embedded in the pill-shaped Dynamic Island, identical to Apple’s. However, it remains to be seen whether the Dynamic Island functions similarly to the iPhone 14 Pro.
There is a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor on the rear, a 20MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro one. A 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a slightly curved screen is also expected on the phone. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset is expected to power the phone, along with a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
The price and availability of the product remain unknown. As for the launch, it may happen in conjunction with Xiaomi’s global and Indian launches on February 26. As soon as Xiaomi releases any information, we will let you know.
