Samsung’s new Windows Phone (SM-W750V) visits the FCC

Samsung’s latest Windows Phone was ousted last week by the ever reliable @evleaks. According to the leak, the device features a design that is similar to a late model Galaxy S and is headed to Verizon. @evleaks’s claims were confirmed today, as the device just made its way to the FCC for regulatory testing with Verizon’s LTE and CDMA bands in tow. In addition, the device also comes with GSM and HSPA bands for international frequencies.
Judging by the looks of the device from the image
leaked by @evleaks, it is likely that it is based off the Galaxy S4. It is also likely that Samsung will include high-end hardware with the device in the form of a Snapdragon 800 SoC. Other hardware features on the SM-W750V should be similar to the Galaxy S4, which means that we’ll likely see 2 GB RAM and a 13 MP camera in addition to a 5-inch full-HD screen.

Now that the device is certified by the FCC, it shouldn’t be long before its official unveil. Samsung might announce the handset in two weeks’ time at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Although the handset has been confirmed for Verizon, it is not yet known whether it will be exclusive to the U.S. carrier, or if Samsung will launch an international version of it.
