The dust on Samsung’s Galaxy S6 models has barely settled, and rumours about the upcoming Galaxy Note have started surfacing.

According to SamMobile, known to reveal accurate details about unannounced Samsung phones, the company is planning to launch the all new Galaxy Note 5 alongside the Project Zen that is said to be the successor to the Galaxy Note Edge.

The report states that the company plans to launch just one variant of the Note 5, which is said to feature a 2K or 4K Super AMOLED display and come powered by an Exynos 7422 processor. “The Exynos 7422 is expected to be the company’s first ever all-in-one solution (ePoP) as it will combine the CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and modem on a single chip,” the report adds.

On the display front, the company testing both, 2K and 4K display, but hasn’t yet zeroed on one. The device prototype is also being tested with Exynos 7430 chipset, but the company doesn’t plan to release it for consumers.

Next is the Project Zen, likely to replace the Galaxy Note Edge. As aforementioned, it won’t simply be a variant of the Note 5 with a curved display, but a completely new product. While the Note 5 will come with top-end specs and hardware, it won’t be the same with the Edge. Some of the rumoured specs include a 5.4-inch/5.5-inch Super Amoled dual-edge curved display, hexa-core Snapdragon 808, 16Gb onboard storage, 16MP rear snapper and 8MP front-facing camera. In line with the Note series, the device will also come equipped with an S Pen.
