Phantom Blade Zero has made an extraordinary entrance into the gaming market. S-Game, the studio behind the action RPG, has confirmed that the title has surpassed 4 million copies sold across all platforms within just 72 hours of its release. The remarkable sales figure puts it among the biggest launches for a Chinese-developed game and one of 2026’s standout releases.
The developer shared the news through the game’s official X account on November 2, 2026. S-Game thanked players worldwide for their support. However, sales are only part of the story. Phantom Blade Zero has also attracted an enormous audience on Steam, where its concurrent player count recently climbed beyond 830,000.

That figure marks a considerable increase from its earlier peak of more than 700,000 players, recorded just 24 hours after launch. The rapid rise suggests that interest in the game has continued to gather pace since its debut.
The sales milestone is even more striking when compared with other major Chinese gaming releases. Phantom Blade Zero is already among the most successful Chinese-developed action games. However, Black Myth: Wukong still holds a commanding lead. Developed by Game Science, Wukong sold more than 10 million copies worldwide during its first three days following its August 2024 release.
Phantom Blade Zero has yet to match that extraordinary benchmark. Still, moving 4 million copies in only three days is an impressive commercial result. Its performance also points to growing international demand for action games developed by Chinese studios.
For players who have been hesitant to pick it up, its launch performance might be another reason to take a closer look. Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG rooted in traditional Chinese Wuxia storytelling. Its combat revolves around swift sword strikes, elaborate fighting techniques, and relentless encounters. The game blends martial arts fantasy with steampunk-inspired machinery, giving its world a distinctive visual identity.
Combat variety is another major part of the experience. Players can experiment with an extensive collection of weapons in Phantom Blade Zero, including more than 30 conventional weapons and over 20 Phantom Edges. Players can mix and match these tools to suit different fighting preferences, shaping their own approach to battles.
With 4 million copies sold in 72 hours, Phantom Blade Zero has secured its place among the biggest Chinese game launches in recent memory. Its strong Steam numbers and worldwide sales suggest that S-Game has struck a chord with action RPG fans.
The next question is how far this momentum can carry the game. Can Phantom Blade Zero close the gap with Black Myth: Wukong and achieve even greater commercial success? Its opening weekend has certainly given it a promising start.
