If you thought that the soon to go on sale Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was powerful enough, think again as China markets don’t seem to feel the same way. Samsung has actually prepared a 6GB RAM version of the Galaxy Note 7 and it not only comes with more RAM but a steeper price tag as well.

First reported by Phone Radar, the smartphone appeared on Chinese regulator TENAA’s website and is supposedly priced above $900 (approximately Rs 60,000). While the standard model’s price in India will only be announced by 11 August, if launched globally, the new version would easily become the most expensive smartphone sporting 6GB RAM.

Coming from China, we expect the device to be built specifically for the Chinese market and could be a ‘Prime’ version of the standard Note 7 model, like we have seen in the past.

But you do get one more upgrade with that 6GB of RAM and that would be 128GB of internal storage. While Samsung has offered only the 32GB Galaxy S7 edge in India, we expect the company to do the same with a 64GB model of the Note 7. Hopefully, Samsung still retains the microSD card storage option on the 128GB model that should make it worthwhile for power users.

Just a day away from the launch of the smartphone, Samsung’s Note 7 is expected to be priced around Rs 60,000 in India. The smartphone will arrive with a couple of firsts, like the first smartphone to feature Gorilla Glass 5 and mobile HDR video support. As for the other firsts, it would also be the first Note smartphone to feature an IP 68 waterproof rating and a USB Type C port as well.
