Pixel 7 series reveled: With the new Tensor chipset, a redesigned design, and other features, Google’s Pixel 6 series has acquired a lot of traction. As we enter the second month of 2022, we are already obtaining news about the next-generation Pixel phones, supposedly dubbed the Pixel 7 series, for the first time. Here’s a glance at what we may expect.
The First Leak of the Pixel 7 Series Reveled
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are most likely to be powered by Google’s second-generation Tensor processor, according to 9to5Google’s investigation. It was discovered with the model number “GS201” and the internal codename “Cloudripper,” which was anticipated. This isn’t surprising, given we expected Google to utilise a new SoC for its flagship phones in 2022.
This time, there’s a new detail: the chipset might employ Samsung’s unannounced “g5300b” modem. This might be the Exynos 5300 Modem, which would replace the earlier Exynos 5123 Modem that came with the original Tensor chip. It’s worth noting, though, that because the modem hasn’t been released yet, no specifics about it are available.
The codenames “Cheetah” and “Panther,” respectively, for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have also been revealed. These were discovered in the code with “Cloudripper,” and we can only presume that these are the future Pixel phones with the next-generation Google processor.
This codenaming approach now looks to be fairly shocking. It’s because Google has always used fish-related ones and has just recently turned to avian ones with the Pixel 6 phones and the future Pixel 6a. Now that it’s back to using feline codenames, it might be Google’s new method of altering codenames when a chip is involved. A third Google gadget, codenamed “Ravenclaw,” was discovered beside the Tensor 2 (for the time being, let’s pretend it’s called that). We don’t know whose gadget it is, but the 9to5Google article suggests it’s a mashup device discovered at the same time Google was testing its Tensor processor on Pixel 5 devices.
Because these are preliminary information, it is prudent to take them with a grain of salt and wait for more to emerge. We will keep you updated on this. As a result, stay tuned.
