OnePlus has revealed plans to launch its inaugural foldable phone, expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2023. The company has teased the device, getting consumers excited about its arrival.
At yesterday’s Cloud 11 event, OnePlus unveiled a lineup of products, including the OnePlus 11, its first tablet, and a keyboard. But it also announced it was time for another first – a teaser for its new foldable phone. Read on for more information about it!
OnePlus Foldable Phone Coming Soon
It’s been confirmed that OnePlus is planning to produce a foldable phone. Reports of the device have been circulating for some time, and now it appears that they are true.
At the end of the event, OnePlus’ Navnit Nakra declared an exciting future offering, due to arrive within the next couple of years. A brief look (timestamp: 1:52:40) suggested it will be the company’s first-ever foldable phone, set to release in Q3 2023. However, no specifics have been made public yet.
We haven’t heard much concrete information from the company, but rumours are floating around. OnePlus is looking to release two foldable devices with vertical and horizontal folding options – the OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip.
We can only speculate what these two foldable phones have in store, likely mimicking the Oppo Find N2 and its sibling, the Find N2 Flip. It is expected to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Fold and Flip series with high refresh rate displays, cutting-edge processors and cameras, and newly introduced software optimizations. While a higher price tag can be expected, there is no confirmation yet on how OnePlus intends to approach this technology.
