Asus Zenfone Live vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 vs Redmi 4 Full Specs Comparison

Asus Zenfone Live vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 vs Redmi 4

Asus recently launched its all-new Zenfone Live. The smartphone clearly has just one highlight and that would be the live-broadcast feature with BeautyLive. BeautyLive works like a filter and will remove all the spots of your face giving the user a flawless appearance on the live broadcast. The feature is basically built into the smartphone, lets you live stream videos through you Facebook, Instagram or YouTube account, to broadcast to the social network.

The Asus Zenfone Live, we pointed out how the BeautyLive technology that comes with social media integration is the only new thing that makes this smartphone worth buying. That’s because everything else that Asus seems to have thrown in (in terms of hardware) is pretty much outdated.

Priced at Rs 9,999 the competition seems far ahead. So let’s take a long hard look at the candidates that include the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 and the Xiaomi Redmi 4 to see how they stack up.

From what we can see, the Asus Zenfone Live fails to keep up even in comparison to Xiaomi’s entry-level offering the Redmi 4. The Redmi 4 may not have the best selfie camera, but the primary is quite good. Again the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 is way better than the old Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 inside the Zenfone Live. Add to this the outdated software experience of the Zenfone series, and the Redmi 4 at Rs 8,999 for the 3 GB RAM 32 GB internal storage variant is a much better deal. Let’s not forget that good-looking metal body and the black finish on Redmi 4.

But the Redmi 4 is clearly for first time Android smartphone users, it offers great battery life, but may not be able to run games with heavy 3D graphics. If that’s what you are looking for, Xiaomi also offers the Redmi Note 4 starting from Rs 9,999 which is exactly the same pricing as the Asus Zenfone Live.

You get a metal back, three colour options, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 that delivers great battery life and is good enough for 3D gaming as well. With 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, it offers a value for money for a smartphone that delivers way more than Zenfone Live. Hopefully, Asus has  Zenfone Live S in the works with a better chipset to compete with the competition, but until that is announced, we suggest you skip on the Live unless you really need the BeautyLive feature on your YouTube or Facebook livestreams.
