The CES decision also fits Sony’s wider business direction. In May 2026, Sony said its strategy was increasingly centered on entertainment, intellectual property and creator-focused technology. Sony has not officially announced the PS6’s GPU specifications, CPU architecture, memory configuration or retail performance. AMD has not confirmed these reported figures either.
