Galaxy Tab S12+ Receives BIS Certification in India
The listing, first identified by 91Mobiles, references two model numbers, SM-X840 and SM-X846B. These correspond to the Wi-Fi and 5G editions intended for the Indian market. Records indicate the certification received approval on July 6, 2026.

Although the BIS documentation stops short of revealing technical hardware or feature details, such filings often signal that an official unveiling is drawing near. The appearance strengthens expectations that Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup for release in the near future.
Safety Korea Listing Reveals Front Design
Another leak emerged via Sammy Guru, who found the Galaxy Tab S12+ listed on the Safety Korea database. The entry includes model numbers SM-X840 and SM-X846N; the latter carries the “N” suffix typical of Samsung hardware sold in South Korea.
The Korean listing features a live image of the tablet. Despite the display being off, one can make out several key design details. The Galaxy Tab S12+ appears to use uniformly thick bezels across the display’s border. Furthermore, its front-facing camera is integrated into the top bezel, ruling out the possibility of a notch.

It suggests that Samsung will retain the standard design language for most of the Galaxy Tab S12 range. In contrast, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to receive a notched panel as its unique selling point.

Expected Hardware Remains Under Wraps
Samsung has yet to disclose official specifications, though industry expectations point to a Dimensity 9500+ chipset paired with configurations up to 12GB of RAM. Reports also suggest AMOLED 2X panels will headline the display package across the series.
One noteworthy detail surrounding the upcoming lineup is the return of the Galaxy Tab S12+. Samsung omitted a Plus-branded model in the Galaxy Tab S11 generation, making its reappearance an unexpected development.
Launch Timeline Appears to Be Taking Shape
With increased certification activity reported in several regions, it appears that development is nearing completion. Samsung’s recent release pattern suggests that the Galaxy Tab S12 series may debut at a Galaxy Unpacked event in September 2027.
In the meantime, we can turn our attention to Galaxy Unpacked 2026, set for July 22, 2026. Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 8 at the event, giving the company’s flagship products a much-needed refresh.
