Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Launched in India: Check Price, Features, Specifications and Sale Date

The newly released Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is a good design change that the brand can be proud of. Rather than the usual transparent shell that used to characterise Nothing’s visual appearance, the company has chosen a polished black, pink, and silver chassis. This transformation makes the handset look more industrial and refined while preserving the company’s signature Glyph Matrix lighting system.

Nor has the Nothing Phone (4a) series been officially launched in India, with prices starting at Rs 31,999. Nevertheless, the more competent Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has obviously started to receive the focus for its superior hardware and camera optics, as well as its drastically different exterior philosophy.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: Display and Build Quality

Display and Build Quality

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has a larger 6.83-inch Flexible AMOLED display that supports 10-bit colour depth. Motion is also remarkably smooth, courtesy of a 144 Hz refresh rate. Yet, visibility is high even in the brightest lighting conditions. The panel has a peak brightness of dazzling 5,000 nits and a 1,600-nit High Brightness Mode for working outdoors.

The display is enclosed in a metal frame, 7.9 mm thick and weighing about 210 grams. This construction is made of metal rather than the traditional transparent backplate that was the brand’s icon. The aesthetic change notwithstanding, the handset remains practical, as it is IP65 certified, meaning it can withstand minor exposure to water. The machine has been reported to have been submerged to a depth of up to 25 centimetres for approximately 20 minutes.

Audio and Core Hardware

Audio output equality is taken into consideration. The handset comes with two stereo speakers to deliver greater spatial sound, and two high-definition microphones to capture a clearer voice during call recording.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a chipset designed to deliver consistent performance across multitasking, gaming, and daily workloads, powers the smartphone. Memory options include up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. Such a combination will ensure fast data access and a smoother transition between apps.

Software Experience

The handset ships with Android 16 running on top of Nothing OS 4.1. Nothing has committed to a comparatively generous update cycle. Three significant Android updates and six years of security updates are promised to buyers, making the device one of the segment’s smartphones with the longest life cycle.

Camera System

The ability to take photographs has significantly improved. There is a rear camera set up:

  • 50 Megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
  • 1.5x optical zoom, 50MP periscope telephoto camera.
  • 8 MP ultra-wide lens to shoot wide shots.

This three-lens set is designed to offer versatility across a range of shooting scenarios, from close to long distances.

The device has a 32 MP selfie camera on the front, which is supposed to be used to capture more detailed portraits, make video calls, and post pictures on social media.

Battery and Charging

The Indian version powers the phone with a 5,500 mAh battery, and the world model has a slightly smaller 5,080 mAh battery. Supporting it is 50 W fast wired charging, which allows the battery to charge quickly. The device also supports 7.5 W reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge smaller devices such as earbuds or smart accessories.

Price in India of Nothing Phone (4a) Pro

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro comes in three storage options:

  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – Rs 39,999
  • 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – Rs 42,999
  • 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – Rs 45,999

The tiers place the device in the upper mid-range segment and compete with various performance-based Android smartphones.

Sale Date and Availability

The handset will be made available in India officially beginning March 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. Sales will be made on Flipkart, which will also offer a 4,000 instant bank discount to qualified customers.

Consumers will have a chance to choose the phone in three finishes: black, pink, and silver, all of which represent the new metallic fashion trend of the device.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: Design Philosophy at A New Direction of Nothing

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is an indicator of an interesting shift in the brand’s design language. Although the transparent appearance was previously its indisputable trademark, the switch to a metal surface signals a shift toward sustainability and a more high-end industrial style. Despite this, the Glyph Matrix lighting system is a unique flourish that still makes the phone retain the distinctive character fans associate with Nothing.

Concisely, the gadget is a combination of a revamped design with improved internals, and it is among the more peculiar and bolder mid-range releases in India this year.
