Redmi Gaming Phone: After announcing the Mi 11x series was launched alongside the Mi 11 Ultra in India, Xiaomi revealed in April that they would launch their first Gaming Phone in China under the Redmi name. Now a Xiaomi smartphone with model number M2104K10C has recently been certified by the Chinese 3C body. This may be the next gaming console from Redmi. According to this article, a Samsung AMOLED E4 display with a focused punch-hole cut-out atop the Redmi gaming phone will be available. The display supports up to a refresh rate of 144Hz for smoother gameplay. This also corresponds to other modern smartphones on the market.

To provide the needed gaming output, the devices are designed to pack a MediaTek Dimension 1200 chipset. It will also have a pair of buttons on the shoulder similar to Black Shark. Rumors also say that a 5000mAh battery with 65W quick charge support would be included for the Redmi gaming handset.

In terms of optics, the unit will feature a quad-camera system with a 64MP main Sony IMX686 sensor, according to previous news. As of now, there are few details about the other three lenses.

Xiaomi is also looking to introduce the first gaming console to India, in addition to introducing it in China. The device’s Indian version, designated M210K410I, was recently approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). According to the article, the Chinese giant could launch the Redmi gaming phone in India under the Poco name. Can the Poco F2 be the real heir of the Poco F1?

In other Redmi news, the company is preparing to introduce a couple of new phones in China. It’s possible that the Redmi 20X will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 5G global model. In the domestic market, a rebadged Redmi Note 10 4G and a new Snapdragon 4-chipset-powered 4G phone are also planned. It’s unclear if these phones would be released alongside the Dimensity 1200-powered gaming phone.
