Bad News for Airtel users, 3G service stopped in 11 circles

Airtel

Telecom company Bharti Airtel has stopped its 3G service in 11 circles. The company has taken this step by March this year to boost the existing spectrum and reform its 4G network. Airtel wants to provide high-speed internet to its users compared to other companies. Let us tell you that from August 2019 to March 2020, the company had announced the closure of the 3G network in 22 circles across the country. The process started in July last year by shutting down 3G services in Kolkata, Haryana and Punjab circles.

3G service also stopped in NCR: Earlier this month, the company stopped its 3G service. The company’s CEO Gopal Vittal told investors that 3G services had been shut down in 11 circles. Now all our 2100MHz spectrum will be reformed in 4G networks by March.

We all know about VoLTE. This is called voice over long-term evolution. It is a high-speed wireless communication system. Talking about the present time, only telecom company Reliance Jio is providing 4G-VoLTE to its users completely. It will then focus on 2G and 4G. Let me tell you that even now the company is providing a 2G network for feature phones. At the same time, talk about Vodafone-Idea, it still operates on 2G, 3G, and 4G.

Bharti Airtel now wants to provide its 4G service across the country. The company had 1.88 lakh mobile broadband towers till the end of December 2019 which was 1.81 lakh by the end of September 2019. Vitthal further said that we are considering to increase the towers by next year. These will be installed mostly in rural areas so that 4G service can be provided there.
