John Ternus has begun his tenure as Apple’s CEO with a record-breaking financial performance. During his first earnings call, Ternus said Apple posted its highest-ever Revenue in India, along with its strongest September quarter in the company’s history.
Apple had previously confirmed the date for its Q4 2026 earnings call, marking Ternus’ first major financial briefing since taking charge. The results are now public, and the Cupertino-based company has reported an impressive $114.5 billion in Revenue (approximately Rs 10.9 lakh crore) for the September 2026 quarter.
The latest figures represent a 12% increase from the same period last year. They also mark Brand’s best-ever September quarter, with strong contributions from its iPhone, Mac and Services divisions.
Apple Achieves Its Highest-Ever Revenue in India
India delivered another landmark performance for Brand. During the earnings call, John Ternus said the company set September-quarter revenue records across several developed and emerging markets. India went a step further, setting an all-time revenue record.
The company also registered its strongest September quarter for iPhone upgraders in the United States, mainland China and India. This suggests that demand for newer iPhone models remains firm across several major markets.
CFO Kevan Parekh offered additional insight into Brand’s performance in India, highlighting the contribution of its key product categories.
Mac: Apple’s Mac business reached unprecedented revenue levels in India and Southeast Asia. Parekh attributed much of this growth to demand for the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro. Both product lines helped the company strengthen its position in these markets.
iPhone: India recorded its best-ever year for iPhone upgraders. Parekh also referred to a Worldpanel survey, which identified the iPhone as a top-selling smartphone model across India, the United States, urban China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and Japan.
Services: Apple’s Services division achieved all-time revenue highs in several emerging markets, including India and Latin America. Ternus also mentioned the recent Apple Pay launch in India through Axis Bank. He described India as “one of the biggest markets in the world,” underlining the country’s importance to Brand’s expanding services business.
Apple’s Q4 2026 Revenue Breakdown
Beyond India, Brand’s worldwide financial results also showed strong growth.
The company reported a net profit of $30.7 billion for the September quarter. Earnings per share climbed 14% year over year, reaching $2.02.
Here is how Apple’s major business divisions performed:
| Business Category | Revenue | Year-on-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| Total Revenue | $114.5 billion | +12% |
| iPhone | $57.6 billion | +17% |
| Services | $31.6 billion | +10% |
| Mac | $10.8 billion | +24% |
| Wearables, Home and Accessories | $8.3 billion | -8% |
| iPad | $6.2 billion | -10% |
The iPhone remained Apple’s biggest revenue generator, bringing in $57.6 billion. Its 17% annual growth was largely supported by the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, despite supply-related limitations.
Mac delivered an even faster expansion, with Revenue climbing 24% to $10.8 billion. Meanwhile, Services generated $31.6 billion, marking another all-time high for the division.
However, Apple’s performance was not equally strong across every category. Wearables, Home and Accessories revenue slipped 8%, while iPad revenue declined 10%.
These comparisons came against a challenging previous-year period, when Apple had introduced the A16 iPad, Apple Watch SE 3 and AirPods Pro 3. Those launches had created a tougher year-on-year comparison for the affected categories.
Another noteworthy milestone came from Brand’s device ecosystem. The company confirmed that its active installed base had surpassed 2.5 billion devices worldwide. That figure includes Brand’s active hardware products across its global customer base.
iPhone Duo Sales Will Appear in the Next Quarter
Another important detail is in Apple’s latest financial report. The iPhone Duo went on sale on October 23, after the September quarter had already concluded.
As a result, its sales figures will be reflected in Brand’s next quarterly earnings report rather than the results announced this time.
John Ternus expressed strong confidence in the new device, describing it as “the most transformational iPhone since the original.” He also acknowledged the challenge of meeting customer demand, saying Apple was working to get the device into buyers’ hands “as quickly as we can.”
The iPhone Duo could therefore become an important contributor to Apple’s upcoming financial results.
For now, Apple’s September 2026 quarter has delivered a historic performance. India recorded its highest-ever Revenue for the company, iPhone sales continued to climb, and Mac and Services posted strong gains. Declines in iPad and Wearables remain worth watching. Still, Apple’s overall revenue growth shows the company finished the quarter on a strong financial footing.
