Xolo has announced the launch of the Opus 3 which will sport a 5-inch HD IPS display and will be priced at Rs 8,499. Keeping in with the trend of selfie cameras, the Opus 3 will sport a 5MP wide-angle front facing camera with a dedicated flash unit.
The Xolo Opus 3 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It is a dual-SIM phone with a 2,500 Li-polymer battery. On the storage front, you have an 8GB internal memory and you can add in a microSD card to expand it to 32GB.
Xolo Opus 3 employs a Sony Exmor R sensor in its 8MP rear camera which comes with a dual-LED flash unit. The camera has a fast lens with an f/2.0 aperture. For selfie-lovers, the Opus 3 comes with a 5MP front-facing camera, with 88 degree wide-angle lens, flash and BSI Sensor.
Off late we have been seeing a deluge of smartphones targetted at the selfie enthusiasts. One of the common emerging trends in such smartphones is a higher megapixel count camera on the front face which comes with its own dedicated flash unit. Some of the cameras launched in this segment include the HTC Desire Eye, Panasonic Eluga S, Lava Iris X5, Karbonn Titanium S19 and so on.
