TomTom launches new range of GPS sports watches in India

TomTom has launched its new range of GPS-enabled sports watches at an event held in New Delhi today. It includes the TomTom Runner GPS Watch, TomTom multi-sport GPS Watch, TomTom Runner cardio GPS Watch and the TomTom multi-sport Cardio Watch. These watches will be available on Flipkart.

The TomTom Runner and multi-sport GPS watches are said to deliver real time information such such as time, distance, heart-rate, pace, speed and calories burnt to runners, cyclists and swimmers. In terms of specifications, the TomTom Runner has a built-in heart rate monitor, a large display, full screen graphical training tools and claims to own industry’s first one-button control to make it easy for fitness enthusiasts to use.

The display features extra-large, high resolution and high contrast display. They also feature TomTom’s Graphical Training Partner. Users can view their real time performances with thee training modes namely Race, Goal and Zone. The new one-button control enables users to navigate through menus to access their key stats and watch features. It can be controlled while wearing gloves as well.

It is compatible on various platforms and users can sync and share their stats on popular running websites including TomTom My Sports, MapMyFitness, RunKeeper, TrainingPeaks and Strava.

The TomTom Runner Cardio includes five intensity zones such as Sprint, Speed, Endure, Fat-burn and Easy. The TomTom Multi-Sport includes all the features of TomTom Runner and additionally has attributes for multi-sport athletes to track their distance, time and speed when they swim or cycle.

The TomTom Runner GPS Watch is available for Rs 12,999, TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch at Rs 15,999, TomTom Runner Cardio GPS Watch at Rs 20,999 and TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio Watch at Rs 23,499 respectively.
