Many leaks have recently indicated that the rumored iPhone SE 4 will be released soon. However, a launch in 2024 looked to be accurate as well! A new piece of information has emerged regarding the inexpensive iPhone, suggesting that it may or may not launch after all.
The launch of the iPhone SE 4 is uncertain!
It has now been revealed that Apple might delay or cancel mass production of the rumored iPhone SE 4. If this happens, the next-gen iPhone SE launch could be delayed or canceled entirely.
According to Kuo, Apple might refrain from releasing the new iPhone SE due to the reduced demand for inexpensive iPhones like the iPhone SE 3, the iPhone 14 Plus, and even the iPhone 13 mini. As you may recall, the mini variant was no longer available after low sales of the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 13 mini.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to adopt a new design, which could contribute to this. According to Kuo, the bezel-less design with a notch is likely to increase production costs and the price of the SE 4. To do this, the strategy and positioning of the product may need to change.
If you don’t know, the SE 4 is expected to adopt a look similar to that of the iPhone XR instead of the iPhone 8. As reported previously, Apple has yet to decide what the display specs of the new iPhone SE will be. Still, it may get an OLED panel, which suggests a price increase.
We are still waiting to see if Apple will continue producing the iPhone SE lineup considering that high-end iPhones are now in high demand. Overall, the future of the iPhone SE lineup is hanging by a thread. We will keep you posted whenever Apple releases more details about its plans. In the comments below, let us know if you would like an iPhone SE or if discontinuing it would be a better choice.
