In India, the Realme 9i with Snapdragon 680 has been released; find out more here!

Realme has announced the Realme 9i, marking the arrival of the Realme 9 series in India, in a movie-like virtual launch event (OnePlus isn’t the only one!). The smartphone, which debuted in Vietnam recently, will be the company’s first inexpensive offering in India in 2022. It has enticing features like 50-megapixel cameras, 33-watt rapid charging, and more. Take a peek at the particulars.

The Realme 9i is now available in India

The Realme 9i takes a step away from the Realme 8 series’ design and moves closer to the Realme GT series’. It has a rectangular camera hump with large camera housings set on a textured rear panel, as well as a corner-located punch-hole in the display, similar to the Realme GT Neo 2.

A Full HD+ screen resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate are supported by the 6.6-inch panel. It’s a 480-nit LCD with a 401-pixel-per-inch pixel density. The Realme 9i is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor using a 6nm process, making it the first phone in the class to have one. This is the same processor used in the Vivo Y21T, Vivo Y33T, and other Vivo phones.

It has up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. This model supports expandable storage as well as DRE technology for expandable RAM of up to 5GB, for a total of 11GB of RAM.

Another draw is the camera portion. It has a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP black-and-white sensor. There is a front-facing camera with a resolution of 16MP. The Realme 9i is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that enables 33W Dart Charge rapid charging. In comparison to the Realme 8i, this is said to be 36% faster. The Realme 9i is powered by Realme UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11.

Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM, USB Type-C connector, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, twin stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and other features are included.

Availability and Price

The Realme 9i is available in two RAM+ storage configurations, all of which are priced around Rs 16,000. It goes up against the Redmi Note 11T 5G, the Vivo Y21T, and others. The following are the prices:

  • Rs 13,999 for 4GB+64GB
  • Rs 15,999 for 6GB+128GB

On January 25, the Realme 9i will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Realme.in, and offline retail outlets. It will also be available as part of an early sale on the company’s website and Flipkart on January 22.
