Following up on Oculus’s promise of $1500 (Rs.1,02,000) Rift ready PCs, Oculus has partnered with ASUS, Dell and Alienware to announce a whole slew of Oculus Ready PCs and Rift Bundles, to be launched on February 16.

The bundles start at $1499 for the base model, going up to $3000 for the top model. Each bundle comprises of an Oculus-Certified PC and the entire Oculus Rift consumer package (Oculus Rift, Xbox One controller, sensor and remote) and also includes the games that come bundled with the regular Oculus Rift only pre-order.

Effectively, what you’re actually getting about $100 off on a gaming PC from ASUS, Alienware and Dell and if you’ve been in the market for a pre-built PC, the deals are quite good (build your own PC if you can though, it’s much cheaper and not as hard as you’d think).

Even if you’re not interested in spending an extra $599 for a Rift, these very same PCs will be available on the Microsoft Store, BestBuy, Amazon, etc. and you can also pre-order them right now from the ASUS, Alienware and Dell stores.

If you do want to build your own PC for the Rift or are simply planning an upgrade, Oculus recommends the following, “The recommended PC specification is an NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD 290, Intel i5-4590, and 8GB RAM. This configuration will be held for the lifetime of the Rift and should drop in price over time.”

If you think the price is too steep or are in two minds about the Rift, maybe you’ll want to read up on why we think the Oculus Rift isn’t for you.
