Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion Officially Launched in India

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion: Motorola launched the Edge 30 Fusion, a premium mid-range smartphone in India, with the first 200-megapixel camera phone. The phone has a 144Hz display, a triple camera with a 50MP sensor, a high-end Snapdragon chipset, and other features to rival devices like Realme GT2 and iQOO 9.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Details

The Edge 30 Ultra features an innovative design that includes a rectangular camera on the back and a curved hole design. It looks like a Motorola phone, but it’s similar to the Xiaomi 11 series.

The front display is a 6.67-inch Endless Edge OLED with 144Hz refresh rate, 1250 nits peak brightness, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color, and support for HDR10+ support. The display also supports Edge Lighting, which illuminates the phone in response to notifications, calls, and other events. A 5-layer Corning Gorilla Glass and an in-screen fingerprint scanner are also included in the display. The latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage are all included in this unit.

As for the main features, there is a 200 MP main camera with an OIS sensor and Samsung HP1. It features a 1/1.22” sensor, 0.64mm wide pixels, and 16-in-1 Ultra Pixel Binning technology. This adds a 12MP portrait camera and a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens that also functions as a macro camera. The front camera with quad-pixel technology has a resolution of 60 MP. The front snapper is 60MP with Quad Pixel technology. Support 8K video, slow motion video, long exposure, live filter, dual capture, night vision, portrait mode, and many more camera features.

Another beauty of the Edge 30 Ultra is its 4,610 mAh battery and 125W TurboPower fast charging, which charges an entire day in just 7 minutes. It also has 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless sharing. Runs the stock version of Android 12. Motorola promises three years of major software updates and four years of security patches. 

There are also dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP52 water resistance, and X-axis linear vibration. Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth version 5.2, 4X4 MIMO, USB Type-C, 13 5G bands, Dual-SIM compatibility and NFC are possible connections.

Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Details

Motorola eventually abandoned the oval camera design with this series, starting with the design. With a metal frame, a glass back with Gorilla Glass 5, and a rectangular camera, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion offers a stunning design. The main camera here is a 50-megapixel f/1.8 device with PDAF and Omni-directional OIS. It features a depth sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view.

On the front is a 6.55-inch Endless Edge display as Motorola calls it. This display uses a pOLED panel with curved edges and thinner bezels. It also features Full-HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch response speed, peak brightness up to 1100 nits, HDR10+, and DCI-P3 color gamut.

Finally, the screen here has Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. That’s quite disappointing given that most high-end smartphones will have Gorilla Glass Victus by 2022. On the front, there’s also a punch-hole 32MP autofocus selfie camera installed.

The Edge 30 Fusion is equipped with a Snapdragon 888+ processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. 13 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, NFC, and dual SIM cards are also supported. You can see the list of supported 5G bands in India. In terms of the operating system, Motorola Edge 30 Fusion comes preinstalled with Android 12 and MyUI 4.0. And the company has promised two years of software updates and three years of security patches for this device.

A 4,400mAh battery with 68W TurboPower fast charging is also included in the smartphone. Like the Edge 30 Ultra, this device does not incorporate wireless or reverse charging capabilities.

Price and Offers

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is priced at Rs 59,999 and competes with the OnePlus 10T, iQOO 9T, and other devices in India.

Available from 22nd September on Flipkart and other leading retailers. Offered as an initial deal for Rs 54,999. Buyers can also avail of Jio benefits worth Rs 14,699. The smartphone is available in Interstellar Black and Stellar White colors.

Motorola Edge 30 Fusion in India is priced at Rs 42,999. However, for a limited time, it is available at a special starting price of Rs 39,999. The gadget is available in two colors: Cosmic Gray and Solar Gold. Available for purchase from September 22, during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days.
