Moto G62 5G with 120Hz Display and Snapdragon 695 Officially Launched in India

Today, Moto announced another superb mid-range smartphone in India. The Moto g62 is now available in India, including a 5G chipset, a 120Hz display, a 50MP triple camera configuration, and more for less than Rs 20,000. So, before we get into the price and availability details, let’s have a look at the specs.

Moto G62 Details and Features

To begin, let me state unequivocally that Motorola is following in the footsteps of its Chinese peers, Xiaomi and Realme, by making small tweaks to the hardware and flooding the affordable market with new phones. So, the Moto G62 has the same design as the Moto G52 and G71, which were just released in India. There aren’t many hardware differences either.

In contrast to the G52’s 90Hz AMOLED display, the Moto G62 has a 120Hz IPS LCD panel. The 6.5-inch display has Full-HD+ (2400 x 1080p) resolution, up to 600 nits of peak brightness, and Panda Glass protection. Onboard is a punch-hole 16MP selfie camera in the middle and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

For those who are unaware, the Moto G62 was introduced in June of this year and used the Snapdragon 480+ SoC. The Snapdragon 695 chipset that powers the Indian version of this gadget gives it 5G capability. 12 5G bands are supported by the Moto g62. It has 128GB of uMCP storage and up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM (speed close to UFS 2.2). A hybrid SIM/microSD card slot on the gadget enables you to increase storage if necessary.

Furthermore, the phone includes a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast-charging capabilities. The Moto G62 comes with a near-stock version of Android 12 out of the box, and the manufacturer claims that this device will receive at least the Android 13 upgrade. It’s OK, but I anticipate at least two significant software changes in 2022. You will also receive security fixes for three years.

Finally, the Moto G62 has the same camera configuration as the Moto G52. A 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 118-degree FOV, and a 2MP macro camera are included in the triple-back camera configuration. The tablet also has Dolby Atmos dual speakers, IP52 protection, and all of the necessary communication options.

Price and Offers

The Moto g62 is available in two configurations: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB, as well as two colorways: Midnight Grey and Frosted Blue. In terms of pricing, the 6GB+128GB base model costs Rs 17,999, while the high-end 8GB+128GB variant costs Rs 19,999 in India. It will be available for purchase on Flipkart starting August 19. By utilizing HDFC Bank Credit cards, you may get a Rs 1,500 discount, bringing the beginning price down to Rs 16,499.

These are appealing pricing, but in India, the Moto g52 with a 4G processor and a 90Hz AMOLED screen sells for Rs 15,000. Which of the following two phones are you most interested in purchasing? Please let us know in the comments section below.
