Jio’s new 5G Upgrade plan provides unlimited 5G data and 6GB of high-speed 4G data. It is an add-on, so it requires an existing plan and depends upon the current plan’s validity.

Jio’s new plan is compatible with ₹119, ₹149, ₹179, ₹199, and ₹219. It will also work in cities with Jio True 5G and for Jio Welcome Offer participants.

Jio introduced the beta trial of its True 5G services in October 2022, so if you can use 5G in your area, you can access the ₹61 data plan through the company’s website or MyJio app.

Jio’s 5G services are available in over 80 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi. The new 5G network was initially launched in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi. The services were recently introduced in Agra, Kanpur, Meerut, Tirupati, Prayagraj, Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), Kozhikode, Thrissur (Kerala), Nagpur, and Ahmednagar.

Jio 5G is based on the SA (Standalone) structure and has a mix of spectrum bands, including 700MHz, 3500MHz, and 26GHz. In addition, it supports carrier aggregation for seamless connectivity. Jio 5G also supports VoNR (Voice over New Radio), enabling HD voice calls and video calling on the network. The service is available in selected markets and will be rolled out to all needs in a phased manner.
