Infinix Zero 5G Launched: Infinix Zero 5G, the company’s first 5G phone, is now available in India.
Infinix released its first 5G smartphone in India today, following its debut in Nigeria last week. The smartphone, dubbed the Infinix Zero 5G, comes with a slew of appealing features, including compatibility for 13 5G bands, dynamic RAM expansion, a 120Hz display, and more. So, before we get to the price and availability in India, let’s have a look at the device’s essential characteristics and features.
Infinix Zero 5G Specifications & Features
To begin with, the Infinix Zero 5G has a sleek form factor and an optional vegan leather-based back cover. At the back, a “Gradient Arc Camera” module provides a smooth, fluid curve to the triple-camera module, which features a 48MP primary lens, a 13MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor.
A 16MP selfie shooter is embedded in the display’s punch-hole cutout. The phone has a quad-LED flash, slow-motion videos, 4K videos, Super night mode, Portrait mode, and other features.
The front panel has a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LTPS IPS display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz to provide consumers with a seamless visual and touch experience. By dynamically altering the refresh rate based on the presented content, the LTPS display panel avoids battery usage.
The Infinix Zero 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, which was released last year. It’s a 6nm SoC with an octa-core architecture that has two ARM Cortex-A78 cores and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores, as well as an ARM Mali-G68 GPU built-in.
8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage are included with the SoC. Furthermore, for flawless multitasking, the RAM may be practically increased by up to 13GB by adding 5GB of memory from the internal storage. The gadget is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports TUV Rheinland-certified 33W low-current fast-charging technology. It comes pre-installed with the XOS skin, which is based on Android 11.
Another distinguishing feature of the Infinix Zero 5G is that it is one of the first 5G smartphones in India to support 13 5G bands for ultra-fast networking speeds. Infinix has collaborated with Reliance Jio, one of India’s biggest telecoms, to test the device’s 5G capabilities. According to the business, the Infinix Zero 5G “got fantastic performance results.”
Furthermore, the Smartphone supports Wi-Fi 6 with 22 MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas, allowing it to capture more frequencies. Infinix has implemented a hardware-based Heat Pipe Thermal Module 2.0 with 3D Cooling Master tech to keep the temperatures in line while supporting these sophisticated networking technologies without overheating the device. Aside from these features, the Infinix Zero 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric verification and is available in two colour options: Skylight Orange with a vegan leather back and Cosmic Black.
Availability and Price
The Infinix Zero 5G is priced at Rs 19,999, making it competitive with smartphones like the recently released Vivo T1 5G, the Redmi Note 11T 5G, and others.
Starting February 18, it will be available for purchase on Flipkart. Customers will also receive a set of Infinix Snoker iRocker TWS earbuds worth Rs 999 as part of a special deal with the smartphone. Customers may also use Flipkart’s Smart Upgrade plan or no-cost EMI alternatives for a duration of six, nine, or twelve months.
So, what are your thoughts on the new Infinix Zero 5G handset? Would you buy the 5G-enabled gadget if it were available in India?
