Dell introduced improved versions of its X15 and X17 gaming laptops, the X15 R2 and X17 R2, at CES earlier this year. The business has now imported both models to India to appeal to professional gamers and streams. So, let’s have a look at the specifics down below.

Price and Availability

Dell has introduced the Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2 gaming laptops, which include high-end components. As a result, the pricing of Dell’s newest gaming laptops starts at Rs 2,49,990 for the lower-end Alienware X15 R2. The Alienware X17 R2 is priced at Rs 2,99,990.

Both laptops will be available for purchase in India at Dell Exclusive Outlets, Dell.com, and other large-format retail stores like Chroma and Reliance Digital Stores.

Key Specifications and Features of the Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2

The new Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2 are updated versions of previous year’s models. These gaming laptops are now available with Intel’s 12th-generation CPUs, Nvidia’s newest RTX-30 series GPUs, DDR5 RAM compatibility, and other sophisticated features.

The X15 R2 has a 15.6-inch display with up to QHD 240Hz support, and the X17 R2 has a 17.3-inch Full HD or UHD display with a 165Hz refresh rate and Nvidia’s G-Sync technology. The X15 R2 is powered by a 12th-generation Intel Core i9-12900H CPU and an RTX 3080 Ti GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The X17 R2, on the other hand, is equipped with up to a 12th-Gen Intel Core i9-12900HK CPU and up to an RTX 3080 Ti GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 graphics memory.

In terms of storage and RAM, the X15 R2 supports up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage and up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The X17 R2 has 1TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage and the same amount of LPDDR5 RAM as the X15 R2.

In terms of ports and wireless connectivity, the X15 R2 has a USB-A port, a USB-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 connector with DisplayPort and Power Delivery compatibility, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 technologies. The X17 R2 contains two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. Wireless communications are supported via Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Aside from this, the Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2 include Alienware’s Cryo-cooling technology with AI-controlled fans, an RGB-based backlit keyboard, and come pre-installed with Windows 11 Home or Pro. The laptops are available in the Lunar Light colour scheme.
