Asus ROG Phone 6 Series Officially Launched in India with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Asus has now unveiled its newest flagship-grade ROG Phone 6 series launched in India, putting a stop to all the leaks and rumors. The ROG Phone 6 portfolio includes two models: the regular ROG Phone 6 and the higher-end ROG Phone 6 Pro. Although they are comparable, there are some significant variances in storage and design. So, before we get to the pricing and availability, let’s take a closer look at the specifications and features.

India Launches ROG Phone 6 Series

The ROG Phone 6 series is intended to serve the nation’s competitive mobile gamers, who prioritize lag-free gameplay and stunning visuals over other smartphone features. The ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are quite similar to one another.

ROG Phone 6/ 6 Pro: Technical Information

Both variants come equipped with a cutting-edge 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen that supports a 165Hz refresh rate, a 720Hz touch sampling rate, and a 20.4:9 aspect ratio. The Pixelworks i6 processor-powered panel is HDR 10+ certified and has a Delta E of 1.

Gorilla Glass Victus is used to cover the front, and it also has a unique AS coating to lessen friction caused by sweaty hands during extended gaming sessions. Additionally, the panel has a 23ms touch latency to provide video games with quick touch-to-action features.

For selfies, there is a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor on the front. Both the ROG Phone 6 and the 6 Pro include a triple-camera arrangement at the rear, with a 50MP main Sony IMX766 lens, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a macro sensor. The ROG Phone 6 Pro, on the other hand, sports a ROG Vision PMOLED color display on the back, whilst the normal model merely has a dual-LED backed RGB ROG logo.

The ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are powered by the newest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU and the Adreno 730 GPU. They also have the same dual-unit 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging capabilities. The ROG Phone 6 Pro has 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The standard model, on the other hand, includes 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Asus has included its most recent GameCool 6 cooling technology, which offers 360-degree cooling to the dual-PCB layout that is positioned in the middle. Additionally, Asus has filled the space between the two PCBs with a thermal compound using a unique technique, which the firm claims may lower temperatures by up to 10 degrees.

Additionally, compared to the ROG Phone 5, the phones have a 30 percent larger vapor chamber. If you still feel that it is not enough, you may purchase the previously leaked AeroActive Cooler 6 attachment to improve the ROG Phone’s thermal system.

Aside from these features, the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro include an in-display fingerprint scanner and a Superior Linear Speaker system. The smartphones also include two built-in ultrasonic AirTrigger 6 buttons on the edges, which support nine different movements. For dual functionality in games, mobile gamers may even select two distinct functions for taping and pulling their fingers from the buttons.

These devices also feature Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6, as well as being IPX4 rated for water resistance, as previously verified by the business. It comes with an Aero Case with precise cuts to expose the complete rear design of the devices and runs Android 12-based ROG UI skin out of the box.
