5G Support for Mobile Devices in India
The iOS update has enabled 5G for the iPhone 12 series, the iPhone 13 series, the iPhone 14 series, and the iPhone SE 3 in India. If you want to start using 5G on your phone, go to the Mobile Data Settings screen and select the Enable 5G option.
New Freeform Music for Apple Music Sing
The most recent update iOS 16.2 for the Freeform app, was announced at WWDC. It’s also available on iPads with the new iPad 16.2, and the Apple Music Sing feature has been introduced. With this, you can have a Karaoke-like experience for lyrics displayed by Apple Music.
iCloud and AirDrop offer an excellent way to share files between Apple devices. With features like automatic deletion and end-to-end encryption, you can be sure that your data will be protected.
Apple has also introduced new data protection for iCloud, which is currently available. It ensures end-to-end encryption for more categories of iCloud content like device and message backups, photos, notes, reminders, Safari bookmarks, and more. With this feature enabled in Settings, there are now 23 categories that have been upgraded to ensure your personal information is kept safe.
Apple has placed a new restriction on AirDrop. First introduced in China, the “Everyone” sharing option used to share files with strangers will now only be enabled for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the user will have to allow this function again from the Settings app.

iPhone 14 series phones also include support for Emergency SOS via satellite connectivity. Some improvements and new changes exist for the iOS 16 lock screen, iPhone Pro, and the Pro Max’s Always-on-Display (AOD) mode. Additional features include news stories in the Weather app, sports scores in Live Activities, improved search in Messages, and more. Bugs have been fixed with this update as well.
