Asus Zenfone 9 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Officially Launched: Full Specifications

Asus Zenfone 9 Launched: As predicted, Asus has officially launched their 2022 flagship, the Zenfone 9, with the newest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor to battle with the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, the ROG Phone 6, and many others. The phone advances the notion of a small smartphone (much like the Zenfone 8), which is becoming increasingly rare these days.

Because of its small size, the Zenfone 9 aims to make smartphone use easier. It sports a 5.9-inch punch-hole display and weighs 169 grams. With two large camera housings in the back, it tries to go big (pun intended!) on the cameras. On the right side, there is a multipurpose ZenTouch button that allows you to access multiple functions with one hand. The phone boasts a “high-grip and anti-fingerprint” texture and is available in four different colorways: Starry Blue, Moonlight White, Sunset Red, and Midnight Black.

The 5.9-inch Samsung AMOLED display supports up to HDR10+, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 112 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. It features a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus layer. Internally, the Adreno 730 GPU is linked with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. There is space for 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The Zenfone 9 has a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer support, and 22 OCL PDAF. There’s a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a Sony IMX363 sensor, a 113-degree field of view, and dual-PDAF. It also has a 12MP front-facing camera with dual-PDAF capability. Portrait mode, Night mode, Light Trail (in beta), 8K films, and more features are available in the camera area.

The handset features a 4,300mAh battery and a 30W HyperCharge adapter, and it runs Android 12. It has 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth version 5.2, 2 microphones with OZO Audio Noise Reduction technology, an upgraded high-tech vapor chamber cooling system, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio connector, and other features.

Price and Offers

The Zenfone 9 will be available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, and parts of South America for €799 (Rs 64,900). There’s no news on its arrival in India, but given that the Zenfone 8 finally arrived (though late) in the nation as the Asus 8z, there’s a chance!
