Qualcomm Snapdragon 888: Qualcomm’s new Flagship Processor for Smartphones; Learn all the features related to speed, photography, and AI

Qualcomm has announced its new processor Snapdragon 888. This processor will be in the new smartphones coming from the beginning of 2021. The Snapdragon 888 offers up to 7.5 Gbps download speed with up to 25 percent faster CPU performance and up to 35 percent faster graphics. Qualcomm has launched the new processor Snapdragon 888 at a time when people are avoiding buying premium smartphones due to epidemics and economic uncertainty. However, Qualcomm believes that the demand for premium smartphones has not decreased in India. Qualcomm said that there is a huge demand for flagship smartphones in many parts of the world, including India.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 devices will improve many things. Many improvements are included in the photography, artificial intelligence, and gaming fields.

Photography

The Snapdragon 888 has a triple image single processor (ISP). It supports taking three 4K HDR video streams or Teen 28 megapixel photos with up to 2.7 gigapixel processing speeds. 35 percent improvement than before. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

SD 888 has Qualcomm‘s 6th Generation AI engine with Hexagon 780 AI processor. It has an improvement of 26 trillion operations per second (TOPS) and up to three times per watt of the previous generation.

Gaming

The SD 888 is the first processor that will enable variable-rate shading (VRS) on mobile devices, allowing up to 30 percent faster game rendering.

Apart from this, this processor will be present in some more upcoming phones. Some of the big brands that will have processors include Samsung’s next Galaxy S21 and the OnePlus 9. Qualcomm also confirmed that new processors will also be given in Asus, Black Shark, LG, Lenovo, Meizu, Motorola, and Sharp brands.
