While Google Play cards have been available in the US for about three years now, there has been no show in one of its most important market, India, yet. Finally, looks like, the search giant is all set bring prepaid voucher to India.

On the Google support page, the company has listed India along with the terms of service as one of the countries to get the option of gift cards. The gift cards options will be available in Rs 500, Rs 1000 and Rs 1500.

Gift cards allow users to buy apps, music, and more from the Play Store. However, the question is, are gift cards popular or will users in India opt for it?

Over the years, Google has tweaked its apps store including a name change from Android app store to Play Store.  Last month, the company introduced a new and interesting feature which lets users ‘pre-register’ for apps in Google Play Store. Pre-registration is free for Android customers and allows them to receive notifications when the app or game is available for download or for purchase on the store.
