Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge will be directly updated to Android 5.0.1

Following the Galaxy S5 LTE-A (SM-906S), Samsung is in the works to update two of its premier phablets to Android 5.0.1. These devices are the Galaxy Note 4 and its rounded screen sibling, the Note Edge. The Android 5.0.1 update on the Galaxy S5 LTE-A holds up quite well, which is perhaps why Samsung believes its time to roll out the update for other more popular devices that we’re talking about here. What this also means is that both these devices will ditch the Android 5.0 update, since we already have builds for the devices running on Android 5.0.1.

A couple weeks back, we gave you a glimpse via a hands-on video of the Galaxy Note 4 running Lollipop, and it shouldn’t be too long before you’ll be getting a taste of it yourself. In case you missed our exclusive preview of the Galaxy Note 4
running Lollipop, here it is.
